Then in 1813, Bernard de Mandeville of New Orleans simplified the game of Hazard to what became the first version of Craps and its popularity spread throughout the United States. it was improved upon by John H Winn who introduced the ability to bet 'right' or 'wrong' by including the Don't Pass bets which elimated the usefulness of the fixed dice which had become prevalent at the time.
